- Not a certification or legal advice. It is a self-check based on the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021), the UAE Charter for the Development and Use of AI (July 2024) and Digital Dubaiās AI Ethics Guidelines. Rules checked on 5 October 2026.
- Law or guidance. Each fix is labelled. āLawā comes from the data protection law. āGuidanceā is good practice from the UAE AI Charter and Dubaiās guidelines, which are voluntary.
- No deadlines or fines shown. The data protection law is in force, but its detailed regulations have not been issued yet.
- Not covered yet: companies in DIFC or ADGM (they have their own rules), health and banking data (separate laws), and Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
